MISSION

CHInyc will foster the development of a disability forward, residential integrated micro community for people with intellectual disabilities and their neurotypical neighbors.

Universal design principles for individual housing units, community, and recreational spaces, will be employed and the community will facilitate support services on and off site, allowing residents with disabilities to participate in fully integrated daily life.

The model we support will prioritize autonomy, accessibility, inclusivity, and a person-centered approach for the neurodivergent residents while also presenting an affordable housing option for neurotypical residents.

We strive to empower individuals of all abilities to live independently and comfortably with a lifetime of housing security. The supported residences will provide inhabitants with the opportunity to age comfortably in place, creating a naturally occurring retirement community or NORC.

Overlapping needs will also help cities save money.

Designing for disability improves lives for all.
